Thomas Steele is currently finishing his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University and will graduate with honors in April 2014. He has spent the past two years working as a tutoring and mentor supervisor for the underserved community of southern Provo, UT collaborating with the Provo City mayor; the United Way; gang, drug, and crime prevention units; and other community groups; to strengthen programs that seek to lift southern Provo’s underserved community out of poverty. He has been the student coordinator of a seminar on Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Said Business School at Oxford University. He has also started a student club at Brigham Young University that seeks to solve social challenges including the difficulties and remedies to poverty and the preservation of nature and the environment.
